Deepen your yoga practice in sunny Andalucia! Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Andalucian countryside, thirty minutes from Almeria, Boho chic meets award winning 1980’s Modernist design at Finca del Alamo - a serene and elegant villa set amongst 30 acres of citrus and olive groves, located on the edge of one of Europe’s most remote and beautiful natural parks, El Cabo de Gata. This stunning, wild, unspoiled stretch of coastline is an amazing landscape of perfect half-moon bays, hidden coves, bizarre volcanic rock formations, spectacular flora and fauna, and the location for many films including Indiana Jones, Lawrence of Arabia, and Sergio Leone’s famous Spaghetti Westerns. And because it is an area of low light pollution it is perfect for star gazing after dinner! In between yoga sessions swim in one of the two lovely pools or visit the famous beaches of the Cabo de Gata National Park, hike a Grande Route, ride a quad bike across the Tabernas desert, get a ringside seat at a Spaghetti Western shoot-out, explore the artisan studios in local village Nijar or relax with a book and enjoy the birdsong and scented air. Far removed from the hustle and bustle of urban life, this is a secluded retreat where the only sounds you hear are the chirping of birds, the rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze, and the occasional bleat of distant sheep. A truly tranquil week.

Enjoy healthy and delicious Vegetarian brunches and evening meals al fresco at The Finca, except for Thursday evening when we order pizzas to be delivered and gaze at the stars!

the yoga sessions

During my Yoga & Stargazing Retreat you will enjoy twelve thoughtfully designed yoga sessions. All practices are mixed level, no pressure sessions with lots of options and variations.

Morning sessions are 120 minutes of Soulful Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Conscious Breathing and Guided Relaxation - designed to energise and revitalise you. Evening sessions are 90 minutes of Restorative Yoga and Guided Relaxation designed to encourage stillness, introspection and reflection. All practices are woven together with poetry, insight and inspiration.

The spacious, cool Yoga Shala is fully equipped with mats, blocks, bricks, belts, eye bags and blankets.

The elegant and spacious main house has six bedrooms across two floors, all of which have their own bathrooms, WiFi and air conditioning. Staying in the main house, you will have access to all areas including the characterful living room, TV room, dining room plus the many pretty patios, gardens and balconies with gorgeous views. All six bedrooms share the lovely eco pool.

who is this retreat for?

This retreat is designed for practitioners with a regular, current Vinyasa Flow Yoga practice. Non practising yoga friends and partners are welcome on the retreat.
