Escape to Tuscany for a week of creative vinyasa,  powerful pranayama and pasta making at this beautiful 17thcentury villa located in a small hamlet in the postcard-perfect Chianti region, halfway between Florence and Siena. Fresh, seasonal produce from the organic vegetable garden is used to create colourful vegetarian food with Mediterranean flavours. This really is the good life! The original architectural features of the 17th century Tuscan villa have been lovingly preserved whilst successfully embracing eco sustainability. The owners were one of the first pioneers of organic farming in Tuscany and are proud of the delicious fruit, vegetables and olives they grow, along with the olive oil they produce.

Advocates of sustainable agriculture, the owners delight in nourishing guests with fresh vegetables, organic food and unique flavours. “In the kitchen you can hear the music of the knife on the chopping board, baskets filled with orchard fruits, delicious nectars of the land, the steam and warmth of pots, a kaleidoscope of stories…... “

PRACTICE  - The Yoga

Morning sessions will be deep and soulful vinyasa - creative, flowing sequences followed by relaxation - designed to energise and refresh. Evening sessions will be a delicious blend of gentle movement, pranayama (breathing), dhyana (meditation) and/or yoga nidra (yogic sleep) designed for healing and renewal. All levels of student welcome.

COOKERY  – Adventures in Pasta Making

Learn how to make pasta like a pro! During this one off afternoon cookery lesson you will have the opportunity to create delicious pasta and learn other classic Italian recipes.  

LOCATION & ACTIVITIES

Chianti is half way between Siena and Florence. Tuscany is famous for historic olive groves, honey-coloured stone farmhouses, dense forests, graceful Romanesque pievi (rural churches), handsome Renaissance villas and imposing stone castles built in the Middle Ages by Florentine and Sienese warlords. Local activities include wine tasting, horse riding, mountain biking and hot air ballooning.


PRICING & BOOKING

Price includes all food, yoga, pasta making session and 7 nights accommodation.  Does not include travel to and from the venue, drinks or any additional activities or trips. Flights to either Florence of Pisa, both of which are 35km away.
