Restorative Yoga in Ealing - 6 Week Course

This is a profoundly nourishing and healing practiceRestorative yoga is about slowing down and allowing the muscles to relax.  It's a completely different feeling from other types of yoga – no muscular effort is required. Instead, a range of props (bolsters and blankets) support the body in poses so they can be held for longer. This way you receive the wonderful internal benefits of the practice without engaging or stretching the muscles.  Restorative yoga is beautifully mellow, making it the perfect antidote to stress and a busy lifestyle. Each class begins with some gentle, mindful movements which prepare the body. Then during the restorative practice bolsters, blocks and blankets are used to support the body in various poses which are held for 5-10 minutes. This practice is deeply relaxing as it activates the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest).  This is the perfect way to de-stress and rejuvenate. Suitable for everyone - no previous experience of yoga required.
